With all of these torrential rains in the Los Angeles area Thanksgiving holiday travel got off to a slow and wet start this morning as an heavy overnight storms flooded and forced the closure of at least two Southern California freeways.

After reading the news reports is appears that all BUT the carpool lane of the southbound Harbor (110) Freeway were shut down just before 5 a.m. due to the massive flooding. The freeway was closed just north of the eastbound Artesia (91) Freeway in the Harbor Gateway area for more than two hours.

It looks like the Carpool lanes in California are the safe place to be.
